The music producer
A music producer must develop sensitive skills in order to be able to take a production through to delivery. Beatlabs aim is to train competent producers, who are able to develop complete projects for themselves as well as for other artists.
Why Beatlabs?
Beatlabs has a clear philosophy, learning by DOING. I believe that the best way to master music production is to immerse yourself in the studio from the ground up, experiencing every stage of the creative and technical process as if it were a real project. This ensures that the student not only acquires the tools and knowledge, but also the confidence and preparation to successfully tackle any professional challenge in the music industry when the time comes to work on a real project.
That is why at Beatlabs all production courses production are customised, and based on a mentoring system that accompanies the student throughout the process.
Because the best way to learn something is by doing it.

My name is Alex Brinken
Back in 1996, talking about music with a friend, he told me that with a computer and a thing called a sound card you could make music at home... that was the beginning of the great adventure.....
Soon after I got a PC with 64 mb of ram and a Sound Blaster AWE32, a Yamaha 12-bit sampler and I began to learn by myself until 2001, when in 2001 I me trasladé a Barcelona para cursar mis estudios de sonido y producción.
I completed several specialisations, including Studio Recording, Advanced Music, Live Sound, and a Master's Degree in Music Production.
In 2005 my first track was released on vinyl by Frequent label, owned by the legendary Swedish Techno producer Devilfish.
Among my productions and remixes are works with Colin Dale, Thor 54, Tony Verdi, Dave Tarrida, Hakan Lidbo or Agent Orange, which allowed me to play with great artists of the scene of the moment, such as Paco Osuna, Dj Hell, Dave Tarrida, Marco Carola, John Dahlback, Alexander Kowalski, Funk D'void, or Thomas Brinkmann.
On my professional path to realising my dream, I worked as an online sales manager at Microfusa hasta 2005, año en el que fundé en sociedad la tienda Cutoff pro audio y el sello musical BCNREC. I taught Audio Engineering and Music Production classes at SAE Institute for 8 years. I was also an editor for the magazines Trax and Deejay where I developed my own monthly section on music and technology. A path that allowed me to keep learning and take consistent steps towards my goal, which was to open my own studio.
