The art of mixing

Online / Presencial

Allen & Heath mix wizard 16:2

The mix is undoubtedly a broad field that encompasses various aspects and disciplines intrinsically related to the music production process and the artistic intention behind it.

In essence, mixing involves combining and manipulating different sound elements to create a cohesive and emotionally impactful listening experience. This requires not only a deep technical understanding of available tools and technologies, but also an artistic sensitivity to grasp how each decision affects the listener's perception and contributes to the desired musical narrative.

The mixing engineer's ear is their most important tool; it must be trained to discern subtleties in sound and understand how adjustments in equalization, dynamics, and other aspects impact the final result.

Learn to Create Professional Mixes

In this course, we show the entire process from receiving the material to mix until its delivery. We will study various mixing techniques applied to specific styles and situations, analyze musical styles to understand each one's sound, and create our own song mixes to achieve a deep understanding of all aspects needed to complete a job professionally.

The ultimate goal is for each student to apply what they've learned to their workflow, gradually developing their own musical and technical sensitivity, and thus forging their own sonic path.

Admission Requirements

To enroll in this course, the student must have previously taken a music production, technical, or sound engineering course, either at this center or elsewhere.
